We began this season by designing a piece with Fayetteville Creates - a nonprofit that hosts artists residencies near the New River Gorge each winter, giving folks a taste of the wild beauty of wintry West Virginia.
This vase invokes the blue rapids of the icy New River in winter — and the zippy and resourceful frolicsome otters that relish the quiet! Each vase comes with a milky white color interrupted by swirling trails and eddies of brilliant cerulean blue, with an understated brown spiral bit invoking that playful otter.
A portion of the proceeds from each sale of the Otter Vase from our website will go to benefit the Fayetteville Creates foundation and its mission!
If you’re down the New River Gorge way this season, go check out the vase in its natural habitat at Lost River Appalachia Trading Company at 171 Court Street in Fayetteville, WV!
Each piece is handmade to order by our talented Appalachian glassblowers, and will take 1-3 weeks for fulfillment.
The last day to place orders for Christmas delivery is December 12th!
