2618 Daffodil Vase

$88.00

Marrowbone continues its celebration of Appalachian flora with the 2618 Daffodil Vase. The first peeps of spring bring small clutches of wildly sown daffodils dotting the hills and hollers around Huntington. The Daffodil Vase celebrates local flora and area glass history simultaneously. This modernist shape uses one of the Fenton Glass factory rufflers to achieve the floppy, frilly lip that reminds one of golden silk Daffodil flowers. The soft olive green canework at the bottom blends into a gradient of rich gold to honey yellow to creamy butter in a way that pulls all of the warm yellow hues that make this vase pop in the sun.

All glass is made when ordered - so expect a 1-3 week shipping window with frequent updates on progress!

The vase is 8-8.5” tall, 4” wide at its waist, and 2.25-2.5” at the base.

The complexity of the color application and the felicity of our antique tools means that each of these vases is grounded in a stable design but each entirely unique. Each vase is handmade in our West Huntington studio by folks passionate about preserving, celebrating, and evolving Appalachian glass design.
